Where the damage is structural or the extent isn’t clear from inspection, yes. We engage a structural engineer to assess the concrete and confirm the scope before work starts, so the repair is based on an engineering assessment rather than a guess at what’s underneath.
Concrete cancer happens when moisture reaches the steel reinforcement inside concrete and causes it to corrode. As the steel rusts, it expands and cracks or pushes apart the surrounding concrete, leading to visible bulging, staining and spalling if left untreated.
In most cases, yes. Epoxy or polyurethane resin injection bonds the crack back together and restores strength, and carbon fibre wrapping or additional rebar can reinforce the area further. Full replacement is usually only needed where the structural damage is too extensive to repair safely.
Yes. Oil, rust, efflorescence, paint and traffic staining are removed as part of the surface restoration stage, and we can grind or refinish the concrete where the staining has gone too deep to lift. On slabs that are otherwise sound, that work can be done on its own.
