FCT Surface Cleaning provides a range of superior quality sandblasting to clients throughout Western Australia. We use a low pressure sandblasting system that guarantees your surface will not be badly pitted. FCT have mastered the art of sandblasting, most commonly blasting swimming pools having completed 1000’s over the years.
The unique Torbo machine can finely blast your surface to what is suitable for the finishing works. A fine media will be used to blast the surface and an acid washed in preparation for completion. Sandblasting can effectively remove paint and other substrates from affected surfaces. Using only premium grade staurolite, we make sure your surface is clean, etched and ready for painting.
What is sandblasting and how does it work?
Sandblasting or abrasive blasting involves propelling a stream of abrasive material forcibly against a surface under high pressure. This is done in order to smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, shape a surface or remove surface contaminants.
At FCT Cleaning, our experienced team utilise superior sandblasting technology to deliver optimal results without the risk of damaging the surface. Our unique Torbo machine delivers powerful sandblasting at the perfect velocity, with enough power to effectively blast away dirt and debris whilst being gentle enough to provide a low risk of causing pitting to the smooth surface.
Sandblasting can be used to:
- Clean debris and dirt build-up on concrete surfaces. This is removed by lightly blasting the surface with a Torbo machine so that debris and other particle build-up is quickly removed and a smooth surface is established.
- Prepare metal or concrete surfaces for painting. Once the surface is clean and smooth with no particle build up, a much smoother painting result can be achieved.
- Decorate concrete surfaces. FCT utilise different coloured sands and oxides to blast beautiful designs and colours onto flat concrete surfaces. These techniques can create visually stunning architectural results in your home or business location.
- Make a smooth surface slightly more abrasive. By lightly blasting smooth concrete, the surface can have more grip and become slip- resistant; this application is particularly relevant for slippery concrete floors.
